Bringing the
message of truth and peace from The Almighty Creator to His creation |
This
past weekend Sunday the 24th of January 2010 we had some
interesting feedback from a non-Muslim gentleman to whom we had given a
booklet by Bilal Phillips titled "The true message of Jesus Christ".
We asked the gentleman to read the booklet and tell us what he
thought. The feedback we received was in the form of notes which
I will include here insha'Allaah: A very good comparison between the bible and the Qur'aan. My comments:- 1. On page 34, it states that Jesus ate food, an act "not befiitting to God". Just because Jesus ate food does not mean he was not the son of God. I see no link between eating and being the son of God. 2. You argument that Jesus was not divine is a very good one, well explained. And I tend to agree with you. 3. The many and varied versions of the bible are well explained. I found the "gloss" on page 8 well explained. 4. People can be Christian without believing in the trinity. The book does not explain this. 5. Explanation of miracles, page 38, is excellent. 6. Page 42, the son of God, begs the question - "Are we all sons and daughters of God?" I like your words "servant of God" - we could all be described as those. 7. I agree with everything you say about about saints, page 65 - 66. 8. Page 67 is very interesting. Many, many christians worship God not Jesus. Although they consider themselves to be Christians, they ALWAYS pray ONLY TO GOD. 9. "Images", pages 68 -69 is excellent. 10. Page 88 "interest" is wholly new to me. I did not know that "Islamic banking" is interest free. 11. "Polygamy" on page 89 - 90 is amazing! Presumably therefore adultery is not a crime? 12. "The conclusion" on page 91 etc is very good indeed. Overall - an excellent booklet. Very informative. |
