10 Verses of protection from Surah Al-Baqarah

It is recorded that Abu Hurayrah said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do not turn your houses into graves.  Verily shaytaan does not enter the house where Surah Al-Baqarah is recited"
Musnad Ahmad, Sahih Muslim and An-Nasai

Abdullaah bin Masood said, "Shaytaan flees from the house where Surah Al-Baqarah is heard"
An-Nasai (Al-yawm wal-lalylah)

Ad-Daarimi recorded that Ash-Sha'bi said that Abdullaah bin Masood said, "Whoever recites ten ayaat from Surah Al-Baqarah in a night then shaytaan will not enter his house that night (these 10 ayaat are) four from the beginning, Ayaat al Kursi (255), The following two ayaat (256 - 257) and the last three ayaat"
Musnad Ad-Daarimi

In another narration it is reported that Abdullaah bin Masood said, "Then shaytaan will not come near him or his family, nor will he be touched by anything that he dislikes.  Also if these ayaat were to be recited over a senile person, they would wake him up"

Sahl bin Sa'd said that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Everything has a hump (or high peak), and Al-Baqarah is the high peak of the Quraan.  Whoever recites Al-Baqarah at night in his house, then shaytaan will not enter that house for three nights.  Whoever recites it during a day in his house then shaytaan will not enter that house for three days"
This hadith was collected by Abu Al-Qaasim, At-Tabaraani, Abu Haatim ibn Hibban in his sahih and Ibn Marduwayah

2. This is the Book (the Qur'ān), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqūn [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allāh much (abstain from All kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allāh much (perform All kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)].

3. who believe In the Ghaib (unseen) and perform As-Salāt (prayer), and spend out of what we have provided for them [i.e. give Zakāt , spend on themselves, their parents, their children, their wives, etc., and also give charity to the poor and also In Allāh's Cause - Jihād, etc.].

4. and who believe In (the Qur'ān and the Sunnah) which has been sent down (revealed) to You (Muhammad Sal-Allaahu 'alayhe Wa Sallam) and In [the Taurāt (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] which were sent down before You and they believe with certainty In the Hereafter. (Resurrection, Recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell, etc.).

255. Allah. there is no god but He,-the living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. no slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things In the heavens and on earth. who is there can intercede In His presence except As He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. nor shall They compass aught of His knowledge except As He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue In guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).

256. let there be no compulsion In religion: truth stands out Clear from error: Whoever rejects evil and believes In Allah hath grasped the Most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. and Allah heareth and knoweth all things.

257. Allah is the Protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. of those who reject Faith the patrons are the evil ones: from light They will lead them forth into the depths of darkness.  284. to Allah belongeth all that is In the heavens and on earth. whether ye Show what is In your minds or conceal it, Allah calleth you to account for it. He forgiveth whom He pleaseth, and punisheth whom He pleaseth, for Allah hath power over all things.

285. the Messenger believeth In what hath been revealed to Him from His Lord, As do the men of Faith. Each one (of them) believeth In Allah, His angels, His books, and His apostles. "We make no distinction (They say) between one and another of His apostles." and They say: "We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, Our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys."

286. on no soul doth Allah place a burden greater than it can bear. it gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which Thou Didst Lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out Our sins, and grant us Forgiveness. have Mercy on us. Thou art Our Protector; help us against those who stand against faith."
